Sazonadas dance for the love of their Mexican heritage and to uplift family ancestry. 100+ years of folkloric dance between these well-seasoned professionals, founded in San Diego by Christina Perez in 2023. Each dancer is dynamic onstage, matched with a fervor for life and complimented by wisdom. Their repertoire spans over 21 regions of Mexican dance and are available to perform at private or public festivities.
Annually they produce a cultural convergence showcase, Sazón Live, which celebrates uniqueness as a form of unification. Sazonadas believe by sharing love through dance, music, oration and visuals art forms, integration happens, openness enlivens and hearts illuminate.

Showcase Synopsis
Sazón Live is the capstone dance, music and spoken word stage show featuring on-screen visual vignettes. Mirroring cycles of life and nature that exhibit overlapping influences through music and dance due to the migration of people. An exchange of ancient to modern through similarities in movement and tone. Bringing together, by following the footsteps of migration (forced and at will) from Mexico into California, comes an array of cultural richness. As Mexico and California are landing destinations for many who are not native (emigrants, refugees) to these lands. Sharing. Connecting. Informing. Illuminating points of relation, between hosts and guests, learning how to thrive as humans. Looking to nature, unifying us through the natural cycles experienced by all.
A cultural convergence performance art showcase presented by Sazonadas. Five regions of Mexican dance interweaved with dance and music performance artists: Afro-Peruvian from House of Peru, Puerto Rican Bomba by Jade Power Sotomayor, zapateado rebelde by Mujeres en Resistencia and boleros-soul-folk music by Talia Morales. Enhanced with visual projections and a curated soundscape for a full flavor showcase.
Sazonadas will perform dances from the regions of Chiapas, Jalisco, Sinaloa, Tamaulipas and Veracruz. The live show will guide the audience through the cycles of life, the power of influence on evolution, and the vibrancy of a culture that honors tradition, interwoven with universal wisdom and the current of relevance. Come interweave the fabric of our lives through celebration of dance, music and culture evolving.
